Oil marketing Company, SemGroup LP, with operations in
Canada files
for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
As
many of you will have read in widespread news reports
across North America, SemGroup LP of Tulsa, (formerly
known as Seminole Gas, with operations in Canada known
as SemCanada Energy with subsidiaries CEG Energy Options
and A.E. Sharp) has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
protection in the U.S.A, and their Canadian unit has
filed for creditor protection.
This
could lead to supply disruptions in energy contracts
with Canadian business consumers. If you have a contract
with SemCanada Energy and/or if your company is faced
with a supply disruption, your local utility will more
than likely still deliver, but there is a possibility
you could be faced with unauthorized gas penalties.

is committed to ensuring the energy marketers we
recommend have a credit standing that will avoid an
occurrence like this. In fact, we have not, placed any
of our clients for whom we manage natural gas, into
supply arrangements with SemGroup, however, if En-Pro
does not manage your natural gas requirements, and/or,
if you deal with SemGroup LP, or SemCanada, and have
received a notice of supply disruption, and require
assistance in obtaining natural gas, please contact us
to assist in arranging your new supply and energy
services in a timely manner.
